I am offering massages in Hampstead because, although I am a native of Wilmington,  I currently live in the Hampstead area.  At 21, I started a very traditional style of martial arts that became a core part of my adult life. When I was 25 years old, I had one of those humbling life moments that resulted in my Martial Arts Instructor saying, “Tomorrow you are going up to the school and signing up for massage classes. You can do more with your life.” I was not going to argue with him. This ended up being the start of a great passion for helping people. When I am giving a massage, therapeutic touch becomes communication. When I found the ability to “communicate through touch” and how many ways it has been used since ancient Egypt to help, heal, love, and build, all without the need for words, I knew I had found the healing art for me.

During my first year in practice a client gave me a compliment that really solidified in my mind why I was doing massage therapy. This gentleman, after seeing me twice a month for about 6 months, told me, “I’m about to move out of the state, and this is my last session before I have to move. I had to tell you that, because of you, I have been able to get out in the yard and teach my son how to play ball this past weekend.”  If I am able to impact 1 family, 1 relationship, or even 1 individual to give them the freedom of mobility…I’m doing my job.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you regain mobility and freedom of movement. Please keep in mind, this style I have developed is not for people who want a light, easy, relaxing massage. My style is therapeutic in nature and requires engagement in the experience.
