Hi, my name is Johnny and I have been a massage therapist since March 2001.  They say “if you love what you do, than you will never work a day in your life.”  I have been fortunate to have a career that I love. When doing massage, I am “in the moment” and everything else disappears so I can focus on the person on my table.  With all of my attention and intensions directed to my client, my healing touch improves their well-being.

My journey to massage therapy has been a long and winding road.  I served in the Army for three years as a truck driver, and was stationed in Germany from 1988-1991.  After serving my country, I went to college and earned a BS in Accounting from UNC-W. After a year of numbers, I realized this was not my path.  Then I delivered furniture for 4 ½ years.

I enrolled into massage school in Jan 2000 and graduated in Dec 2000.  After receiving my license, I worked at Miller-Motte as a Teacher’s Assistant/Clinic Supervisor until Nov 2015.  I had the benefit of assisting many instructors with different backgrounds and specialties which has made my massage style different from most. I am now able to share my passion with the students I teach at Brunswick County Community College and prepare the next generation of healers.

I believe my gift of touch and experience in massage will show once you are on my table.  I am waiting to work on you.

Check out my 2 truths and a lie on our Facebook page.  The answer is: The lie is number 2. The truth is I have 3 dogs and 2 cats.

See what our clients are saying about Johnny:

Second time I’ve had a massage by Johnny and it is absolutely amazing! They are extraordinarily careful and sanitary. A lot of precautions in place for our safety and its super appreciated.

Thank you Johnny and staff!!
Johnny does a great job! I am an athlete and constantly sore, so I usually need a lot of pressure and there are no limits with him.
I was having significant pain in my left shoulder. They were able to get me in quickly for a 30 minute massage on the should blade area. Johnny did an outstanding job working the knots and taking my pain level down from a 6 or so to a 2 or 3 pain threshold when I left. He gave excellent direction to get me through the evening until the morning when I could get in to see a Dr and the direction was spot on relative to the diagnosis I received the next day.
